What if I told you,
recovery without support
is worse than being abused?

Would that put into perspective
the lack of support and
pain of judgment
by a society who does not care
about abused women in recovery?

Would that put into perspective
the reason why some women
do not leave or return to abusers?
You may as well ask her to
choose her own poison.

Be brave, be strong precious one,
You can do it ALONE.
